One of the greatest of human joys is the knowledge that something you did or said has helped someone. In doing so you have brought joy to someone. This in turn produced an outpouring, however great or small, of gratitude which made you feel special. Then your brain went to work. And here is where the danger lies.
We all have limitations and the greatest danger we face when helping others is the reality that for all our good intentions, efforts, words, and deeds the other person is the one who made it happen by taking the necessary steps.
